How many savings accounts can I have with Zaver?

You can open up to 20 different savings accounts, so feel free to set up separate goals for different savings needs.

Is it safe to save with Zaver?

Absolutely. All savings accounts with Zaver are covered by the Swedish state insurance guarantee (up to SEK 1,050,000 per person and institute). Any funds exceeding that limit won’t earn interest and may be transferred back to your linked bank account.

What types of savings accounts do you offer?

Zaver offers three types of accounts:

Zaver Flex
A flexible savings account with a variable interest rate and no lock-in period. You can deposit and withdraw money whenever you like.

Zaver Fix
A fixed-term account with a guaranteed interest rate. Once your deposit is received, the term begins. Withdrawals are not possible until the agreed period ends.

Zaver Premium
An invite-only account that combines free deposits and withdrawals with an exclusive interest rate reserved for our most loyal savers.

How much can I save with Zaver?

You can save up to SEK 1,050,000 across all your savings accounts. Any amount above this threshold will not earn interest and may be returned to your linked bank account.

When is interest paid out?

For Zaver Flex (and Premium), interest is paid on the 1st of every month. Any applicable taxes are deducted directly from your account.

For Zaver Fix, interest is paid when the term ends.

According to Swedish tax law, 30% preliminary tax is deducted from the interest when it is paid out. If the interest paid out during the year is less than SEK 100, no tax is deducted.

Who can open a Zaver savings account?

Anyone over the age of 18 who is registered as a resident in Sweden. Your personal details must be listed in the national registry. If you have a protected identity status, please contact us for help setting up your account.

How do I close a savings account?

To close your savings account, simply log in to the app with BankID and send us a message in the chat. We’ll handle the rest.

Can I withdraw money whenever I want?

Zaver Flex has free withdrawals and deposits. No fees or waiting times apply. For Zaver Fix, withdrawals are only possible once the pre-determined lock-in period has expired. When it ends, your savings and earned interest are automatically transferred to your Flex account, unless you’ve enabled automatic renewal of your fixed term.

How do I make a withdrawal?

To withdraw money, you first need to link at least one bank account. This is a security measure to protect you from fraud and ensure that all withdrawals go to a verified account in your name.

How long does a withdrawal take?

Withdrawals are typically processed within one business day.

Depending on your bank and the time of day the request is made, it may take up to three business days for the funds to reach your account.

When will I see my deposit?

Automatic deposits are made via direct debit (autogiro), set up when you link your bank account.

Your first deposit may take 1–3 business days to appear in your account.

Once the direct debit mandate is active, future deposits are usually processed faster – often the next business day.

What happens if I deposit more than SEK 1,050,000?

If a deposit causes your total balance to exceed SEK 1,050,000, the exceeding amount will automatically be refunded to your primary withdrawal account. Refunds are typically processed within one business day.

Why can’t I find Zaver when searching with the Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgälden)?

Zaver is a registered trademark. The brand, and the service it represents, are owned and provided by Frink AB (Reg. No. 559059-8420). Therefore, you’ll find our savings accounts listed under Frink AB at the Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgälden), not under Zaver.

What does automatic renewal of the fixed term mean?

When opening a Zaver Fix account, you can choose to enable automatic renewal.

This means that once the term expires, your balance will automatically be reinvested for the same duration at the interest rate applicable at the time of renewal.

You can change your automatic renewal preference at any time in your account settings. If automatic renewal is turned off, the account will close at the end of the term and your balance will automatically be transferred to a Zaver Flex account with a variable interest rate.

Why do I get a Flex account when I open a Fix account?

When you become a new savings customer, a Flex account is automatically created for you.

When your fixed term ends, your balance and earned interest are transferred there. From your Flex account, you can withdraw your money anytime.

What is Zaver Premium?

Zaver Premium is an exclusive savings account with a higher interest rate and limited availability. It works like a Zaver Flex account – with free deposits, free withdrawals, and no fees.
